A composite needle of a knitting machine, comprising a needle body having a hook at a tip and sliders having two sheets of blades overlapped with each other, wherein each of the needle body and the sliders is formed so as to be slidably moved in longitudinal direction in the state of a slider blade supported in a blade groove formed in the needle body, and a refuse removing plate formed separately from the needle body and extended to the upper side of the blade groove of the needle body and to the hook side of the needle as viewed from the side is vertically installed between the sliders at the tip part of the needle nearer the hook.
