PURPOSE: Provided is a crash helmet which has an outer layer coated with a luminous paint by dipping so that the helmet wearer can be noticed from a far and high position in the night. CONSTITUTION: The luminescence coated crash helmet is produced by preheating a crash helmet at about 100 to 500 deg.C for 1 to 2 minutes, dipping the preheated crash helmet in a coating solution of a predetermined composition, heating the helmet at 150 to 350 deg.C for 1 to 2 minutes and cooling the crash helmet to the ambient temperature. The coating solution comprises 100 weight parts of polyvinyl chloride, 0.5 to 2.0 weight parts of a plasticizer, 0.05 to 0.1 of a filler, 0.01 to 1.0 weight parts of a stabilizer and 0.05 to 3.0 weight parts of a pigment.
