A compound (A) that comprises: (i) a protease (I), e.g. subtilisin or proteinase K; and (ii) an antigen, ligand or receptor (or their fragment(s)), autoantigen, antibody-, ligand- or receptor-binding region, epitope or other recognition domain, is new. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) DNA or nucleotide sequences, or vectors, encoding (A); and (2) a cloning and expression system for (A).
