PURPOSE: A method for controlling a fax of a mobile communication network is provided to change a service option of the mobile communication network by the negotiation of analog fax rate between an IWF(Inter Working Function) modem and a PSTN(Public Switched Telephone Network), upon call connection between a PC fax of the mobile communication network and an analog fax of the PSTN. CONSTITUTION: Call connection of a mobile communication network is performed and a protocol is established between a mobile terminal(20) and an exchange(30)(ST21,ST22). After the protocol is established, training is performed between an IWF modem(40) and an analog fax(50) of a PSTN network(ST23-ST26). A service option is changed according to the result of the training(ST27,ST28). The connection between the IWF modem(40) and the analog fax(50) of the PSTN network is established according to the changed service option(ST29). If the training between the IWF modem(40) and the PSTN network fails, the IWF modem(20) requests the change of a service option to the exchange(30). The exchange(30) and the mobile terminal(20) re-negotiates a service option. And a service option is changed appropriately for a network state. |
