PURPOSE: A dual starting safety system used in a vehicle is provided to start an engine only when a shift lever is positioned in a safety position when starting a vehicle parked on a slope way. CONSTITUTION: A start motor(5) is connected between an ignition switch(1), into which an ignition key is inserted, and an inhibitor switch capable of recognizing a shifting range by a TCU. An inclined degree of a vehicle is determined by a position determining device(20). A safety device(10) receives a signal from the position determining device(20). Upon receiving a signal from the safety device(10), a start relay(4) is turned on, thereby driving the start motor(5). The safety device(10) includes a parking brake switch(12), relays(11a,12a) and a communication relay(2). The position determining device(20) includes an inclined angle sensor(21), and a controller(22) for providing power to relays of a brake switch(11) and a parking brake switch(12).
