METHOD FOR BRIDGING A UPNP NETWORK AND A HAVI NETWORK

The invention concerns a method for bridging a HAVi network 1394 Bus2 and a UPnP network IPnet4, in which both networks are connected to a bridge device 5 representing software elements from one network on the other network, at the level of the bridge device. The method comprises the steps of: - detecting UPnP devices 3 connected to the UPnP network - creating a proxy HAVi device control module for each UPnP device for representing the UPnP devices on the HAVi network. - registering the proxy HAVi device control modules, wherein the proxy HAVi device control modules are declared as being of the legacy device type.
