PURPOSE: An embedded device for a broadcasting service using an IP(Internet Protocol) over Ethernet LAN(Local Area Network) and a method thereof are provided to use IP multi-casting performed only inside one LAN segment, so as to minimize network loads by the broadcasting service. CONSTITUTION: An Ethernet connector(201) for Ethernet connection is arranged more than one. A Web server daemon(202) connected to the Ethernet connector(201) operates a Web server. A broadcasting server Web application(203) provides a broadcasting service using IP multi-casting connection on the Web server daemon(202). And the broadcasting server Web application(203) provides the broadcasting service using a broadcasting client application of a computer for receiving the broadcasting service, to provide contents stored in an embedded device(200) or media contents received through uni-cast connection from a local file server in a LAN segment including the embedded device(200), a file server in the Intranet including the embedded device(200) or a file server over the Internet, limited to the LAN segment including the embedded device(200).
