Class 20(3) A folding horizontally sliding door comprises a core, sheet 10 of flexible plastic material extending substantially over the whole area of the door and a plurality of spaced parallel thin wooden strips 11, e.g. veneer, secured to one or both sides of the sheet to form panels leaving only thin bands of the core sheet 10 to act as hinges. Each panel comprises preferable a pair of strips 11 sandwiching the core sheet 10, and as shown, a thin sheet 17 of clear plastic, thinner than the core sheet, may be secured to one or both sides of the door to cover the wooden strips and the bands of the sheet 10 between the panels may have their surfaces marked to simulate the wood strips 11. Each panel is provided with means at its top for attachment to a runner operating in an overhead track. A handle 21, 22 may be attached to the leading edge 18 of the door as shown in Fig. 3. |
