PURPOSE: A slit forming apparatus of pipe for well screen is provided in which dimension of slit is determined by a set input value, and certain patterned slit is automatically and promptly formed at the pipe by a mechanical equipment. CONSTITUTION: The slit forming apparatus(100) of pipe for well screen comprises a frame(110) on which at least one or more working holes(112) are formed; a clamp member(120) that is installed in a way that it is moved to the frame to closely adhere a pipe to be worked(102) to the working holes; a slit forming member(130) that is movably and rotationally installed at the frame to simultaneously form a plurality of slits having certain length and width at a certain part of the pipe closely adhered to the working holes; a transfer member(140) installed at the frame to reciprocate the slit forming member to the frame; and a driving member(150) installed at the transfer member to rotate the slit forming member at a certain rotation speed.
