The invention relates to a method and a device for producing a desulphurised fuel gas for fuel cells, whereby the fuel gas, especially natural gas, is desulphurised in a desulphurisation device (1) and the sulphur content of th e desulphurised fuel gas is monitored. According to the invention, at least on e partial current of the desulphurised fuel gas is guided through a reforming catalyst (2) and is subjected to a reforming process, the course of the reforming process is monitored by means of a monitoring device (3), and a decrease in the reforming process is evaluated as a signal indicating an increase in the sulphur content of the fuel gas. |
