PURPOSE: A device and a method for watching and analyzing an embedded system are provided to perform a debugging and tuning of a software being operated in a real time operating system by monitoring and analyzing a CPU scheduling of an operating system in an embedded system. CONSTITUTION: An agent(10) is located in an embedded system, collects necessary data using a hook of an operating system, and transmits the data to a server(20). The server(20) transmits/receives a control message and log data, analyzes a state of the embedded system based on the received log data, and displays an analysis result. An interrupt manager(11) sets a hook of an operating system, maintains a necessary data set, receives a command from a command handler(12), and adjusts an operation of a routine executed by the hook. The command handler(12) interprets a control message from the server(20), executes a necessary operation, and performs a response. A log manager(13) reads and manages log data written by the hook from a memory(16) periodically. A socket server(14) receives the log data from the log manager(13), transmits the log data to a server(20), and transmits/receives a control message to the command handler(12). An ISR(Interrupt Service Routine) handler(15) is connected to the interrupt manager(11) and supplies an ISR routine related to a task scheduling. The memory(16) stores data collected by the ISR handler(15).
