PURPOSE: To provide a method and a device for measuring an inside diameter, which can carry out an accurate measurement. CONSTITUTION: In the method for measuring the inside diameter, which supplies compressed air from an end of a cylindrically formed work W and measures the inside diameter of the work by detecting its back pressure, the variation of measured value of the inside diameter d is obtained in relation to the variation of length L of the work W, and the corrective value ε corresponding to the length L of the work W is obtained beforehand, and the measured value of the inside diameter d is corrected in relation to the length L of the work W. Therefore, the accurate measurement can be always carried out even in the case a plurality of works having different length of the work W are measured.
