<p>PURPOSE: To provide a packet communication device which immediately transmits urgent information even in the middle of communication without reducing the data transfer efficiency. CONSTITUTION: The packet communication device is provided with packet making parts 8 and 9 which convert signals transmitted from signal processing parts 2 and 7 to packets of a prescribed form, a high priority packet thrusting means 10 which thrusts a packet from the packet making part (high priority) 9 at the time of input of this packet even in the middle of transmission of a packet from the packet making part (low priority) 8, a transmission circuit 3 which transmits the packet outputted from the high priority packet thrusting means 10 to a communication medium 4 for transmission, a reception circuit 6 which receives a data string from a communication medium 5 for reception, and a multiplexer 13 which is connected to the reception circuit 6 and classifies the reception data string into low priority packets and high priority packets to transmit them to signal processing parts 8 and 9.</p> |
