PURPOSE: A moisture detecting apparatus of a fuel filter used in a diesel engine is provided to automatically notify a moisture discharging time by detecting the amount of moisture accumulated in the fuel filter. CONSTITUTION: A moisture detecting apparatus is inserted into a flank portion of an exhaust frame in order to detect the amount of moisture in a fuel filter. The moisture detecting apparatus includes a detecting rod(50) made of metal for detecting moisture. A male screw section(60) is positioned away from the detecting rod(50) by a predetermined distance. A rotary knob(70) is fixed to a lower portion of the male screw section(60). A moisture detecting circuit is accommodated in the rotary knob(70). A cable(80) is connected to the moisture detecting circuit accommodated in the rotary knob(70). A connector is connected to a terminal end of the cable(80) so as to be connected to another device.
