FLAMMULINA VELUTIPES HAVING HIGHER TREHALOSE CONTENT

PURPOSE: Provided is novel Flammulina velutipes which has higher trehalose content and is thus capable of growing under high concentration of salt and a high osmosis condition, wherein trehalose composes fruit bodies thereof. CONSTITUTION: The novel Flammulina velutipes SH1(KRIBB KCTC 10010BP) having higher trehalose content is manufactured by the steps of: separating and germinating a spore from Flammulina velutipes fruit body M-50; culturing the spore to obtain mononuclear mycelium; treating the mycelium with lysozyme to obtain protoplast; irradiating UV thereto and culturing it in a medium containing 2 wt.% of edible salt or a medium containing 10 wt.% of brown sugar; and selecting mycelium having excellent growth rate.
