METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR PURIFYING EXHAUST GAS OF DIESEL VEHICLE BY USING MICROWAVE

PURPOSE: A method and an apparatus are provided to purify exhaust gas of a diesel vehicle by completely burning particulate material, such as dust, soot, and smoke. CONSTITUTION: A pyrex pipe(2) having a cylindrical shape is inserted in a reactor(1) having a hollow cylindrical shape. An inlet(10) and an outlet(11) are formed in the reactor(1). A damping member(8) is installed at both ends of the pyrex pipe(2) in order to reduce a shock when the pyrex pipe(2) collides with the reactor(1). A filter(7) is installed at an inner peripheral portion of the pyrex pipe(2). A coil(3) is wound around the pyrex pipe(2). Both ends of the coil(3) are connected to a pair of magnetrons(4) connected to a power supply(5). The power supply(5) is connected to a battery(6). A flange(9) is provided at an outer peripheral portion of the inlet and outlet(10,11).
