E.H.T. circuit Fig. 2 one resistor chain includes high-gain triode Vl and brilliance control R and resistors R1, R2, R6-R9 are so proportioned that the C.R.T. grid-cathode voltage is independent of E.H.T. voltage variation. During time-base sweep brilliance pulses are applied via potentiometer R. A diode may be added to prevent the C.R.T. grid rising above cathode potential.
