PURPOSE: A traffic information providing system and a terminal thereof using digital data broadcasting are provided, which provides real time traffic information, using digital data broadcasting in order for a user to use accurate traffic information in real time with lower costs. CONSTITUTION: A data processing part collects traffic information and processes it. A broadcasting part broadcasts the processed traffic information through a ground wave digital broadcasting frequency. And a terminal part(200) receives and processes the broadcasted data and then provides them to a user. The traffic information data processing part processes data using an electronic map of the same structure as an electronic map used in each terminal. The terminal receives traffic information data through the ground wave digital data broadcasting on the basis of a stored electronic map(100) and then displays it on the electronic map.
