PURPOSE: To provide a recording head and a recorder using the recording head in which a high resistivity against electrostatic breakdown required for the recording head, particularly, for example, a resistance against an interlayer film breakdown characteristic of an electrostatic discharge damage of the recording head is improved without increasing costs of a recorder body and recording elements of the recording head and without enlarging the recording head. CONSTITUTION: A protecting circuit for protecting the recording element is formed between a signal input pad of the recording element and an inverter. An electrostatic surge of a high voltage impressed to the input pad is quickly electrically connected to a large-capacity power source or a substrate line, by a first protecting function comprising two diodes included in the protecting circuit. Moreover, the high voltage electrostatic surge is further quickly electrically connected to the large-capacity power source, or the substrate line by a second protecting function comprising different two diodes between a resistor connected to the input pad and the inverter.
