PURPOSE: A pick-up device of a disk drive is provided to easily control skew in the disk drive and improve the work efficiency of assembling the disk drive by installing guide shafts on a pick-up base without extra parts for fixing the guide shafts. CONSTITUTION: An optical pick-up(37) is installed on a pick-up base(30). One ends of guide shafts(35,35') are inserted into the pick-up base and the other ends of the guide shafts are secured on the pick-up base, so that the guide shafts guide movement of the optical pick-up. A motor base(50) is coupled to the pick-up base to support the other ends of the guide shafts secured on the pick-up base, and includes a spindle motor(53) rotating a disk. The optical pick-up moving following the guide shafts and the spindle motor installed on the motor base maintain parallel with each other, so that a light emitted from the optical pick-up is accurately projected to a disk.
