The invention relates to a method and a device for producing a desulphurised fuel gas for fuel cells, whereby the fuel gas, especially natural gas, is desulphurised in a desulphurisation device (1) and the sulphur content of the desulphurised fuel gas is monitored. According to the invention, at least one partial current of the desulphurised fuel gas is guided through a reforming catalyst (2) and is subjected to a reforming process, the course of the reforming process is monitored by means of a monitoring device (3), and a decrease in the reforming process is evaluated as a signal indicating an increase in the sulphur content of the fuel gas. |
