The invention relates to a fuel injection valve (1), especially a fuel injection valve (1) for a fuel injection system of an internal combustion engine. The fuel injection valve comprises a valve needle (3) that interacts with a valve face (6) to give a sealing seat, and an anchor (20) that acts upon the valve needle (3). Said anchor (20) is axially movable on the valve needle (3) and is dampened by an elastomer damping element (32). Said damping element (32) is disposed on the valve needle (3) in a recess (34) of the anchor (20) in such a manner that the valve needle (3) is linked with the anchor (20) via the damping element (32) in a radial direction.
