PURPOSE: An apparatus for suppressing vibration of strip is provided to constantly adjust thickness of a plating layer coated on the surface of the strip by suppressing vibration of the strip in a continuous plating line of an iron works. CONSTITUTION: In an apparatus(2) for suppressing vibration of strip(1) in a continuous plating line comprising a snout, a plating tank in which the strip supplied from the snout is dipped into a plating solution, and an air knife for constantly maintaining the plating solution formed on the surface of the strip passing through the plating tank, the apparatus for suppressing vibration of strip is characterized in that a pair of opposite air pressure difference generating means are installed on a path along which the strip passing through the plating tank moves, thereby pulling the strip from both sides of the strip using the same suction force of the pair of opposite air pressure difference generating means so that the strip is prevented from being separated by the pair of opposite air pressure difference generating means, wherein the apparatus comprises first and second displacement sensors(4,5), a comparator(9) and a power variator(10), and wherein the air pressure difference generating means comprise a pair of rolls and belt to adjust suction force generated between the belt and strip according to rotation speed of the belt.
