PURPOSE: An apparatus for preventing car accident using an infrared ray sensing method is provided, which prevents the car accident in advance by providing efficient information to a driver and sends peripheral vehicle travelling condition data to an ITS(Intelligent Transport Systems). CONSTITUTION: An optic lens part(12) receives an IR(Infrared Ray) energy of a front object of a travelling vehicle. An image senor part(22) converts the IR energy into an electronic signal. A microprocessor part(23) calculates a LED on/off in order for the electronic signal to be adjusted to X-Y ratio of a LED-CHIP matrix structure of a transparent display attached to the inside of a front glass of the vehicle, and obtains vehicle travelling condition data by calculating a speed, time and distance of the object. A LED drive part(24) turns on/off the transparent display. And a radio signal output part(25) transmits the vehicle travelling condition data calculated in the microprocessor using a radio frequency according to the ITS.
