1307973 Hydraulic fluids MONSANTO CO 26 April 1971 [27 April 1970] 11290/71 Heading C5F Hydraulic fluids comprise a phosphate ester based fluid and 0À25-7À5 parts by weight of a chlorofluorinated alkane having a boiling point of 20-150‹ C. per 100 parts of base fluid. Many examples of phosphates are given including tributyl, dibutyl phenyl, cresyl diphenyl and tricresyl phosphate. Examples of chlorofluorinated alkanes include trichlorofluoromethane and 1,1,2,2 - tetrachlorodifluoroethane. The hydraulic fluid may also contain polyesters, polyphenylethers, poly-alklacrylates and methacyrlates, epoxy compounds (e.g. phenylglycidyl ether, pinene oxide and bis-epoxycyclohexyl adipate) and bis (1,2-phenylmercapto) ethane. |
