PURPOSE: Provided are a lifting device of a kimchi reservoir in a kimchi refrigerator and a method for controlling the same. Particularly, the lifting device lifts a rack on which a kimchi reservoir is mounted, therefore, the kimchi reservoir is taken out. CONSTITUTION: A kimchi refrigerator characteristically comprises a rack on which a plurality of kimchi reservoirs are put, a lifting unit which lifts the rack and allows the kimchi reservoir to be taken out, and a control unit which controls the lifting unit.
