PURPOSE: A coil skid for monitoring coil width and adjusting coil position is provided to prevent falling of coil on conveyor and improve productivity of coil transportation by measuring and analyzing width of coil automatically during loading of coil on saddles, thereby self-discriminating abnormality thereof and accurately adjusting position of coil. CONSTITUTION: The coil skid for monitoring coil width and adjusting coil position comprises a position adjusting part(10) comprising a plurality of saddles(5a,5b) and cylinders(7) which are movable in a width direction of a coil conveyor; a control part(50) comprising sensors(55a,55b) for measuring width of coil put on the saddles(5a,5b); and a coil ascent and descent part(40) comprising supporting plate(42) and cylinder(45) which are positioned at the center between the saddles(5a,5b) to lift up the coil so that the coil is moved to its regular position by lifting up the coil using the coil ascent and descent part(40) and piling up the coil on the saddles with the saddles(5a,5b) being moved to the side of saddles(5a,5b) having a large deviation value as much as 1/2 of the deviation value measured by the sensors(55a,55b) in case that width values of the coil measured by the sensors(55a,55b) are different from each other.
