PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a zoom lens device, an optical equipment and a projector capable of avoiding the deterioration of optical characteristic. SOLUTION: A 3rd lens group 13 (compensator lens group) is arranged between two lens groups (2nd and 4th lens groups 12 and 14) constituting a variator lens group out of respective lenses 11, 12, 13, 14 and 15 constituting the zoom lens device 10. The two lens groups (second and fourth lens groups 12 and 14) constituting the variator lens group are held by a common variator lens frame 22 and integrally moved. By such constitution, the zoom lens device, the optical equipment and the projector capable of avoiding the deterioration of the optical characteristic caused by eccentricity between the lens groups even though a plurality of lens groups are combined are provided.
