PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gasifying device for waste in which a heat loss from a furnace wall is low and a gasifying efficiency is high. SOLUTION: The gasifying device for waste is formed by combining a melting and gasifying part with a gas modifying part. The melting and gasifying part 11 is a part for producing the slag of a thermally decomposed residue including ash components of the thermally decomposed material of the waste, and its reaction time is less than 2 seconds. The melting and gasifying part 12 is a part for charging thermally decomposed gas and thermally decomposed oil including no ash component, and a reaction time is 2 to 4 seconds. Only the furnace wall of the small melting and gasifying part 11 may be formed in a forced cooling structure, and the heat loss from the furnace wall can be reduced.
