PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bearing apparatus which secures a high load capacity while maintaining reliability even under such a condition that an assembly space is restricted. SOLUTION: A spacer 15 has a projecting part 15b of which the axial width is larger than the minimum distance B3 between outer rings 11A, 11B. Therefore, even if the axial length of the spacer 15 is shortened by the increase of the axial length of the outer rings 11A, 11B in order to secure the high load capacity in the restricted space, there is no fear of falling-down of the spacer 15 into an oil groove 2a because the projecting part 15b prevents radial displacement of the spacer 15 with respect to the outer rings 11A, 11B as far as the outer rings 11A, 11B are not overhauled. Therefore, contact interference of the spacer 15 with cages 14B, 14C is prevented.
