PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermoplastic elastomer composition having improved heat resistance, strengths and durability, and a method for producing the same. SOLUTION: A thermoplastic resin (A) having a melting point or a temperature where a melt flow rate is 3 g/10 min or more of 210 deg.C or less is kneaded with a rubber composition (R) in advance to prepare a thermoplastic elastomer composition (E) in which the rubber composition (R) is a domain and the thermoplastic resin (A) is a matrix. The thermoplastic elastomer composition (E) is kneaded with a thermoplastic resin (B) having a melting point or a temperature where a melt flow rate is 3 g/10 min or more of 230 deg.C or more to obtain the thermoplastic elastomer composition in which at least the thermoplastic resin (B) is a matrix and at least the rubber composition (R) is a domain.
