摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a method for assembling a magnetic sensor in which the fixed layer of a magnetoresistive effect element is magnetized under a magnetization field of a sufficient strength and an output signal having a large absolute value is outputted from the magnetoresistive effect element. SOLUTION: Fixed layers of all magnetoresistive effect elements 1 formed on the same substrate 2 are magnetized while arranging the magnetizing directions in the same direction and chips 3 including the magnetoresistive effect elements 1 are cut out individually from the substrate 2. The magnetizing direction of the fixed layer in the magnetoresistive effect elements 1 on the chips 3 thus cut out is then selected and a magnetic sensor is assembled by combining a plurality of chips 3. Fixed layer of the magnetoresistive effect element 1 is thereby magnetized in a magnetization field of sufficient strength and an output signal having a large absolute value is outputted from the magnetoresistive effect element 1.
