PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric power steering gear capable of warning a driver of a deterioration in the astringency of a steering wheel. SOLUTION: On the basis of steering torque added on the steering wheel (not shown) detected by a torque sensor 10, a motor current command value to be supplied to a steering auxiliary motor 24 is determined. In order to stabilize steering at traveling of a vehicle, a brake current value that should brake the steering auxiliary motor is determined. This electric power steering gear drives the steering auxiliary motor 24 to rotate according to a motor current target value on the basis of the motor current command value and the brake current value. The electric power steering gear comprises a determining means 11 for determining whether steering is stable or not, and a means 16 warning that steering is not stable when the determining means 11 determines that the steering is not stable. |
