PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tunnel excavator which can excavate an adequate tunnel even in a shallow depth area or in a sliding soil area, thereby improving the safety of tunnel excavation. SOLUTION: According to the tunnel excavator, a cutter head 17 mounted on a front portion of an excavator main body 11, a plurality of spokes 21 radially extending from a cutter center 20 are radially connected, to form a first connection ring 22, and cutter bits 52 are fixed to each spoke 21. Then, a plurality of diagonal spokes 26 connected to the first connection ring 22 are radially connected to form a second connection ring 27, and cutter bits 29 are fixed to each diagonal spoke 26. |
