PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device absorbing impact energy to a protruding part of a light guide plate and generating no damage such as a crack on a root of the protruding part even when the light transmission plate is developed to get thinner. SOLUTION: On a picture frame 5b of a casing 5, a recessing part to be fitted with the protruding part and to position the light guide plate in a direction along the side face with both end faces is formed. Furthermore, a first slit 10a reaching to the end face is formed along the end face by working a peripheral region of a base plate inside a root of the end face. At the same time, a second slit 10b is formed by working the picture frame and the peripheral region of the base plate in positions separated from the end face with a specified interval. The part of the casing consisting of a part of the picture frame and the base plate held between the first slit and the second slit is supported by a simple beam in the casing toward a load in the positioning direction. |
