<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper feeding device in which air is sent toward a stack of sheets from sideways of a feeding direction, capable of securely separating the sheets to be stably fed one by one regardless of sheet size in simple constitution. SOLUTION: This paper feeding device is provided with a paper feeding roller 106 to get in contact with the stack of sheets 100 to feed the sheets one by one from the uppermost one. Air blow ports 122 and 122 to send air from sideways are provided above the stack of sheets 100, and floating restricting members 124 are provided between the air blow ports and the paper feeding roller to be apart from an upper surface of the sheets. As a fan 120 is rotated to blow air from the air blow port 122, some of upper sheets 100b are blown up to float. This floating quantity is controlled by a flotation restricting member 124, so that the sheets are separated to be supplied one by one before the air blow port 122.</p> |
