PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a correction method for correcting simply the difference of a colorimetric value caused by the difference of a characteristic of a colorimetric apparatus when creating a color profile. SOLUTION: Color measurement of a color chart for creating the color profile comprising plural color patches is performed by a standard colorimeter and a colorimeter to be corrected respectively, and a correction coefficient is determined in each color patch from a standard colorimetric value acquired by the standard colorimeter and a colorimetric value to be corrected acquired by the colorimeter to be corrected, and a color chart correction table for the colorimeter to be corrected is created. Color measurement of the color chart outputted by the device is performed by using the colorimeter to be corrected, and the acquired colorimetric value is corrected by using the correction coefficient corresponding to the patch of the colorimetric value housed in the color chart correction table, and the profile of the device is created by using the corrected colorimetric value.
