PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reference scale equipped with a measuring device to be used for photographic measurement which surely can inform a photographer of the case when a power battery of the measuring device is turned OFF. SOLUTION: The reference scale (10), equipped with a measuring device (46, 48), is used for photographic measurement. It comprises a power battery (52) feeding the measuring device, a time detecting means (step S706) detecting whether a certain time has elapsed or not after this power battery has been found ON, a power supply OFF means (56) turning the power battery OFF when this time detecting means has detected that a certain time elapsed, and an informing means (20) informing that the power battery is OFF.
