PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive SPL measuring instrument capable of measuring an SPL (sound pressure level) of an output in an audio device having a wide output dynamic range even when a microphone of a narrow dynamic range is used. SOLUTION: This SPL measuring instrument is constituted of the microphone 2, and a storage case 1 for storing the microphone 2 and for attenuating a sound from an outside. The storage case 1 is preferably added with attenuance switching means 7-9. Since an output sound of the measuring objective audio device reaches to the microphone 2 after attenuated by the storage case 1, an sound output signal corresponding to the output of the audio device is output from the microphone 2 without being strained even when the non-straining dynamic range is narrow in the microphone 2 itself. The SPL of the output in the audio device is thereby found by adding an attenuated portion to a measured value of the output.
