PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure the precision of mold opening/closing and to easily adjust the position of a toggle support while the toggle support is not moved even by the inertia of a movable platen during mold opening/closing by making an adjustment nut rotate smoothly without producing looseness between the adjustment nut and the toggle support. SOLUTION: A guide member with a screw formed in an end part, a mold clamping mechanism support member in which a seat face is formed on the back side and which has a guide member insertion hole, the adjustment nut engaged with the screw of the guide member, a gear fitted to the end face on the back side of the nut, a press plate which is fitted to be positioned between the gear and the back of the support member and presses the nut, a thrust bearing arranged between the press plate and the nut and between the nut and the seat face, and a spring member arranged between the press plate and the thrust bearing are provided.
