PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent degradation of picture quality by suppressing a luminosity step if an anode ray drive circuit comprises a plurality of IC chips. SOLUTION: A dummy drive output d2 (d1) and a practical drive output of an adjoining IC chip 2a (2b) are switched over at a switching circuit SW1 (SW2) at a prescribed cycle, which is supplied to an anode ray An . Thus, the variation of adjoining output currents between IC chips is suppressed. So, if the anode ray drive circuit comprises a plurality of IC chips 2a and 2b, the luminosity step in two display regions of different luminosity on a display due to difference in current drive capability between IC chips, becomes smaller to be able to suppress degradation of picture quality. |
