PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a natural gas hydrate of low water content in high productivity so as to improve its production efficiency. SOLUTION: The objective method for producing the gas hydrate comprises reaction between a feedstock gas and water in a reaction vessel; wherein the composition of the feedstock gas to be introduced into the reaction vessel is detected, and the feedstock gas is subjected to component adjustment according to the composition thus detected.
