PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toothpaste composition that has high formative property on a toothbrush, keeps softened state allowing easy penetration into a narrow crevice of the mouth, and has excellent dispersibility in the mouth. SOLUTION: This toothpaste composition holds a viscosity curb ofδ<1/2> =k0 +k1γ<1/2> (wherein,δrepresents a shearing stress;γrepresents a shearing speed; k0 and k1 are each a constant; (k0 )<2> represents a yield stress; and (k1 )<2> represents a plastic viscosity}, having (k0 )<2> of 80 to 400 Pa and (k1 )<2> of 10 Pa.s or less}.
