PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To seal off an edge of a plastic corrugated fiberboard so as to prevent intrusion of foreign matters and to make it beautiful and safe in handling. SOLUTION: A method for treating the edge of the plastic corrugated fiberboard comprises the steps of bringing a plastic decorative band (3) having a width equal to a width of the plastic corrugated fiberboard (1) into contact with the edges (2A, 2B) of the fiberboard (1) while the edges (2A, 2B) of the fiberboard (1) and their outsides are specified from both surfaces by retaining plates (5A, 5B), bringing its outside into contact with a caul plate (6) made of a metal, heating the band (3) by a heater (7) from behind the plate to fusion bond the band (3) to the edge, cooling the caul plate after the fusion bonding while bringing the band (3) into contact with the caul plate as it is, and removing the caul plate and the retaining plate after cooling. In stead of a combination of the band and the caul plate, a fixture (8) having a U-shaped section in which an inside measurement between both sides is equal to a thickness of the fiberboard and sections of parts to be transferred from both sides to a bottom are curved surfaces, may be used.
