Antigen mimotopes and vaccine against cancerous diseases

Vaccine (A), against cancers that are associated with the high molecular weight melanoma-associated antigen (HMW-MAA): (a) comprising at least one peptide (I) of 6-14 amino acids and/or nucleic acid (II) that encodes (I); and (b) is recognized immunologically by the monoclonal HMW-MAA antibody 225.28S, is new. An Independent claim is also included for an antigenic mimetope, from the extracellular domain of HMW-MAA, as diagnostic agent, that comprises at least one (I) and is recognized by 225.28S.
