A latch (10) includes a housing (50), a pawl (300) pivotally supported by the housing and movable between a latched position and an unlatched position, a spring (552) biasing and pawl (300) toward the unlatched position, and a locking member (250) being rotationally movable about an axis of rotation between an open position and a locked position. The locking member (250) interferes with the movement of the pawl (300) such that the pawl is maintained in the latched position when the pawl (300) is in the latched position and the locking member (250) is in the locked posiiton. The locking member (250) allows the pawl (300) to move to the unlatched position when the locking member (250) is in the open position. The latch may further include a motor housing (100), a lockplug (150), a lockplug member (200), at leat one roller switch (350), at least one gearbox (400), and a motor (450). |
