PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the color slurring of an image on a recording medium from occurring in an image forming device where the recording medium is carried and fed on a transfer belt wound round a driving roller and a driven roller and driven to be rotated and different color toner images are superposed and transferred to the recording medium from a plurality of image carriers, whereby a color image is formed. SOLUTION: When it is assumed that a distance between respective transfer positions T1, T2, T3 and T4 where the toner image is transferred to the recording medium P from the respective image carriers 3A, 3B, 3C and 3D is L, the diameter of the driving roller 5 is (d) and (n) is an integer >=1, L=nπd holds. Then, the tooth number of gears is set so that an intermediate gear 15 and a motor gear 14 are rotated by integral times when a roller gear 12 is rotated by (n) times.
