PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve duration of life of a bearing of a scroll fluid machine. SOLUTION: A center boss positioned in a central potion of a scroll lap 21 of a fixed scroll 2 and protruding toward a panel board 22 of a slewing scroll 4 is arranged to be continued to the scroll lap 21 of the fixed scroll 2. This center boss 11 is provided with a through hole 12 into which a driving shaft 13 is inserted, and a bearing engaging hole 19 adjacent to the through hole 12, and arranged on a side opposite to the slewing scroll 4, and the driving shaft 13 inserted into the through hole 12 is supported by a bearing 14 engaged in the bearing engaging hole 19. The shaft sealing device 18 for sealing a clearanceδbetween an inner peripheral surface of the through hole 12 and an outer peripheral surface of the driving shaft 13 is provided in the clearanceδand a connecting path 20a for opening the clearance to the air is arranged on the bearing 14 side of the shaft seal device 18.
