The system consists of a bowl-shaped housing (1) with an aperture (4) of sufficient size to accommodate the whole of a person's face, a light source, a colorimetric or spectral calibration unit and a positioning support for part of the person's face, such as the chin. The positioner has a mirror inside the housing that allows a person to see his/her face, and intersecting light emitters creating an illuminated spot on the forehead. The system also incluses at least two video cameras (6) to observe the face from two different angles.
