PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a sterically pure optically active 3-amino-1,2-epoxypropane derivative inexpensively and stably from an industrial viewpoint which is an important intermediate on productions in many fields including medicinal field. SOLUTION: This method for producing the optically active 3-amino-1,2- epoxypropane derivative represented by the general formula (3) (R1, R2 and R3 are each a substituent such as an alkyl which may be substituted, a cycloalkyl which may be substituted, an aralkyl which may be substituted, or an aryl which may be substituted) is characterized by reacting a 5- hydroxyoxazolane derivative represented by the general formula (1) with a trimethylsulfonium halide derivative represented by the general formula (2). The optically active 3-amino-1,2-epoxypropane derivative represented by the general formula (3) can stably be produced at a low cost. |
